30XX

Our analysis

A challenging but worthwhile fast-paced action platformer inspired by classic Mega Man X, improving on its predecessor 20XX. Precise, satisfying movement, powerful meta progression, a welcome linear Mega mode alongside the roguelite mode, broad accessibility options, and excellent rated online community maps are highlights. It's held back by uneven procedurally generated difficulty, poor explanation of its many currencies and systems, and frustratingly tiny text. Strong value and very replayable, especially in co-op.
