Our analysis

A standout monster-taming RPG that brings real passion and originality to the genre. Its magnificent storybook art direction, diverse and characterful creatures, soothing acoustic soundtrack, and inventive mechanics (cursed beasts sharing your health, area-of-effect capturing, team synergies) make it a satisfying and addictive blend of isometric action and creature collecting. Scarcity of healing items can make early encounters frustrating and the unadjustable handheld text is too small, but it's well worth playing and reasonably priced.
