Our analysis

Charming narrative adventure about outwitting the devil. Good humor but rough animation and shallow exploration.

Our analysis

A superbly written narrative adventure from Night School Studio in which the recently deceased Milo and Lola try to out-party Satan across the underworld, carried by razor-sharp, close-to-the-bone comedy and outstanding voice acting. The drinking mechanic adds personalized dialogue and light puzzle and strategy elements, while natural, interrupting conversations and a fantastic soundtrack stand out, despite some visual aliasing and the lack of a dedicated run button. A tightly crafted, frequently hilarious 6-to-8-hour experience well worth the price.
