Our analysis

A by-the-numbers MMO that copies World of Warcraft's structure while leaning harder on story it can't make compelling. Character customization is shallow and largely cosmetic, the early solo questing pushes a hollow chosen-one narrative shared by countless other players, and dialogue trees feel bolted on. Overburdened with grind, unbalanced across its twelve classes and still being patched heavily, it ends up with little more than niche appeal.

    Our analysis

Age of Conan is a decent MMO with enjoyable combat, voice acting, and a fun take on the Conan mythos, but is hindered by long-term technical problems, an egregious cash shop, and frustrating death mechanics from lag and environmental hazards.
