Our analysis
A great-value real-time space strategy game in the Warhammer 40K universe with fabulous graphics, sound and over-the-top voiceovers, accessible even without knowing the lore. It packs three campaigns, skirmish and multiplayer, twelve factions, and satisfying tactical fleet battles, with the Necrons a particular favourite. Gripes include a daunting UI, inability to transfer ships between fleets, and limited skirmish/multiplayer options, but it improves on its predecessor and is well worth buying.
