4 of 4A well-crafted, expertly made classic-style JRPG with excellent risk-based brave/default combat, a deep two-job customization system, and a solid if slow-starting story. Side quests lean toward filler and the game lacks a standout hook or identity, making it feel safe, but fans of early-90s JRPGs will find a lot to love here. Easily worth your time and money.
A worthy sequel that nails the series staples, with satisfying party interactions, a flexible main/sub job system, and a strong Brave/Default battle hook. It is held back by difficulty-balancing issues and opaque systems, notably an under-explained emphasis on speed that lets faster enemies overwhelm you and pushes the game toward mandatory grinding. The hand-painted town art shines, though the Unreal Engine performance occasionally dips below 30fps.
A familiar yet enjoyable JRPG that captures traditional Final Fantasy roots while staying approachable. The excellent combat and deeply customizable job system are the highlights, giving real freedom in party building, and the watercolor towns look great. The doll-like character models feel out of place and the cliche crystal-collecting story plays it safe, but it remains a solid choice worth finishing.
Mixed feelings. Core still fun and engaging, but removal of key QoL features adds friction. Series asks for tedious work while losing identity. Grind-heavy 50h RPG.
