A buy that is simply a lot of fun second to second, with the new exo suits, smart grenades, and futuristic gadgets injecting fresh energy into the familiar formula. Graphics are surprisingly polished even on older hardware, Kevin Spacey and the cast deliver top-notch voice work, and the multiplayer suite is deep and customizable. Let down by lackluster, mixed-off sound, a poorly paced and short campaign, and levels that hand you scripted, predetermined uses for the exo suit instead of letting you experiment freely.
Painfully predictable entry with clichéd story; Kevin Spacey and jetpacks add value but multiplayer suffers from poor netcode.
