Our analysis

A charming, accessible action-RPG that adds drop-in co-op and a swappable cat/dog duo, with silky controls and a near-constant 60fps in both docked and handheld. The humor, vibrant hand-drawn visual style, and responsive combat make it a fun time solo or with a friend. It plays a touch too safe as an evolution rather than a revolution, and the harsh death-restart system on quests grows tedious.

Our analysis

A breezy, campy action-RPG whose brisk combat and goofy, pun-filled quests keep things light and fun. Progression is accessible and the new cooperative play and dual cat-and-dog characters are welcome additions, though exploration can feel repetitive and the menus still lack gear sorting. At roughly eight to ten hours it ends abruptly but never overstays its welcome.
