A chaotic first/third-person online slasher for up to 64 players with four classes, dozens of weapons that feel distinct in speed and reach, and excellent, well-balanced sound design that makes the battlefield adrenaline-pumping. The frantic combat is fun in short bursts, but the inputs read too similarly to reliably tell why an attack failed or landed, and that lack of clarity plus functionally similar objectives, limited game types and issues like hazard spawns and auto-balance hold it back from being a long-session game.
Our analysis
A hugely fun, accessible medieval combat game built around massive 64-player battles and messy, satisfying melee. The combat is responsive and rewarding, with deep blocking, feints, and class-based abilities, and the over-the-top gore and physics create constant laugh-out-loud chaos. More accessible than Mordhau and great value, it comes strongly recommended despite some launch crossplay and server kinks.

WatchOur analysis
Chivalry 2 has fun combat mechanics and well-designed maps, but is severely undermined by server crashes, missing skills, broken hit detection, constant team changes, and other gamebreaking bugs that make the inflated critical scores completely unjustifiable.
