Chocobo GP

Polished kart racer with great Final Fantasy roster and multiple modes. Story mode is weak but overall highly entertaining. 8/10.

What could have been an excellent kart racer is dragged down by aggressive free-to-play monetization, microtransactions, and a battle pass that almost punish non-paying players. Track design feels like a mishmash of borrowed ideas with jarring, stop-start corners, the story humor lands flat, and the audio—especially the maddening menu music—is poor. It runs smoothly at 60fps and has decent content, but poor design choices in nearly every area undermine the fun, making it hard to recommend at full price.
