Combat Complex

Our analysis

A twin-stick ARPG-roguelike shooter, far better with a controller than keyboard and mouse, with procedurally generated levels, a deep loot and equipment system, satisfying meaty-sounding weapons, and good graphics. However the moment-to-moment combat feels slow and muddled rather than fluid, the enemy variety is thin, and locking skill points behind tedious challenge tasks is frustrating. Still in early access and may improve once crafting arrives, but it grew boring fairly quickly.
