Cradle

A walking-simulator-meets-puzzler set in a futuristic Mongolia with a beautiful, barren aesthetic and outstanding sound design, wrapped around an intriguing sci-fi story about a sterility virus and a robot companion. Unfortunately the narrative feels like only fragments of a much richer tale, while a punishing field of view, mouse smoothing, wonky item controls, and forced, nonsensical puzzles choke out its strengths. At a short one-to-two hours, it lands better as a discounted purchase than full price.
