Our analysis

Unique roguelike with inventive atmosphere and sanity mechanic. Great character variety and progression system. Some balance issues with starting supplies and occasional graphics performance dips, but highly enjoyable despite roguelike frustrations.

Our analysis

A procedural roguelike framed as 19th-century colonial exploration, leaning heavily on text-described adventures with only combat shown on screen via tiny, hop-based pixel animation. The premise is amusing but the variety runs thin: a standard campaign repeats essentially the same land-collect-loot-pyramid loop six times over. With its focus on story over challenge, it ends up feeling repetitive and a bit uninvolving.
