Cyberpunk 2077 redeemed. After patches and the Phantom Liberty DLC, the game is easily a 9.5/10. Highly recommended now that it has been fixed and expanded.
Cyberpunk 2077 features impressive visual design with iconic neon-lit Night City, but is severely undermined by pervasive bugs and reduced scope. Despite some good missions and combat mechanics, immersion-breaking technical issues, buggy AI, and cut content make it hard to recommend.

An ambitious but bug-riddled open-world RPG set in the atmospheric sprawl of Night City. Ceaseless glitches break immersion, the skill and perk systems are overwhelming yet ultimately let you become overpowered at everything, and many menus, icons and crafting systems add little value. The writing and world-building are strong and the quiet atmospheric moments shine, but it's bloated with content that could use heavy editing, with too many missions forcing combat or fizzling out.

A surprisingly accomplished Switch 2 port with shockingly few compromises, featuring excellent gyro and mouse-mode controls, nuanced HD rumble, and impressive lighting and audio. Performance mode targets a smooth-feeling 40fps that holds about 90% of the time, dipping in dense areas like Dog Town, while quality mode sits at 30fps. Niggles include reduced shadow resolution, no FOV slider, and the long-standing lack of an in-game torch, but it remains a joy to play.
Severely broken release that could have been game of the year if issues were fixed. Disappointed by bugs, poor AI, bad design decisions, and railroaded story choices that undermine RPG elements.
