Excellent remake with significant graphic improvements. Preserves humor and charm of original.

A genuinely hilarious romp where you play psycho alien Crypto wreaking havoc on 1950s Earth, carried by outstanding B-movie audio, voice acting, and a crazy, funny story. The remake adds a big upgrade tree, streamlined abilities, and varied on-foot and flying-saucer chaos, with open sandbox destruction to mess around in. The world looks good, though human faces resemble porcelain dolls and there are occasional frame drops. It's short, easy, and the side quests are weak, but it's a perfect, fun time.

Fun old-school remake with brilliant moments; monotonous stages and overpriced.

Good preservation of 2005 original with modernized elements; nostalgic fun at fair price.

A faithful remake whose modernization is essentially skin-deep. The updated character models, cutscenes, and environments make for a more colorful, detailed world, and the new open-world hubs and Focus lock-on add some content. But clunky old-school controls, unnecessary cutscenes, low-challenge combat, and reused 2005 voice recordings make it feel dated, and the open-world additions sit awkwardly against the linear core gameplay.

Playground for fun. Wrecking towns feels great, premise enjoyable, decent jokes. Audio quality is flat-out bad. Overall enjoyable remake despite rough edges.

The Completionist absolutely loves this remake for its humorous writing, forgiving design, and fun gameplay mechanics. The only significant complaint is the tedious probe hunting that took 13 hours of the 68-hour playthrough.
