Our analysis

A narratively and artistically fascinating survival adventure that puts human reactions to disaster at its center, offering meaningful choices, branching finales, and a 15-to-20-hour campaign with replay value. The experience is unique on Switch and emotionally engaging, but it is undermined by severe technical shortcomings, with frame rates dipping well below 30 and a lack of clear direction. Worth it for those willing to tolerate the jank.

Our analysis

A unique survival-adventure built around dialogue choices, morality, and managing needs like hunger and stress amid earthquake devastation, with an impressive sense of scene-setting and a strong Japanese voice cast. It is dragged down badly by a drastically low framerate that makes movement sluggish and the camera nausea-inducing, plus dated character models, a near-absent score, and on-the-nose dialogue options. More fun than its flaws suggest, but the premium price makes those technical issues much harder to forgive; wait for a sale.
