Dragon Age II

Holds up better than expected on revisit, especially given its roughly 18-month development. The self-contained Kirkwall setting and the Arishok as a standout antagonist make for a surprisingly strong, well-connected narrative that ties into Origins and Inquisition. The voiced protagonist limits dialogue, choices often feel illusory, the simplified action combat is shallow, and reused dungeon environments wear thin. A solid, worthwhile entry despite its flaws.
