Our analysis

A deeply enjoyable 4X strategy game with four distinct factions, each playing completely differently across diplomacy, espionage, voting and military approaches, rewarding players who commit to a clear playstyle early. Spice and water economy management, talent trees, agents and strategic airport placement give it lots to micromanage without being hard to learn. Even in early access it runs cleanly and is great fun, though it is single-player only and the absence of the Ordos disappoints.
