Our analysis

A genuinely excellent Dungeon Keeper successor that adds a clever surface-and-underground dynamic, making it arguably better than its inspiration. The army management, research, trap-building, and unit leveling offer deep, satisfying strategy, backed by a hilarious story narrated by the Stanley Parable voice, plus full co-op campaign, skirmish, and multiplayer modes. Pathfinding on the surface is the only real gripe; otherwise it is well animated, great-sounding, and a strong game-of-the-year contender.
