Cool game with outstanding parkour and excellent core systems, but severely undermined by 40 hours of poorly written story and characters. Technical issues persist.
Our analysis
A deeply disappointing release where the headline co-op is effectively broken, permanently disconnecting huge numbers of players, while the long unskippable tutorial pushes playtime past the refund window. Keyboard and mouse rebinding is a mess, with many keys hard-bound or non-functional once tied to upgraded abilities, and progress-blocking mission bugs make even single-player frustrating. For its full price it should never have shipped in this state.
Our analysis
A refreshing, kick-ass open world with fluid first-person parkour, a uniquely satisfying melee combat system, genuinely impactful story choices that reshape the world, and tense, threatening nighttime activities. A big narrative leap over the original, though the ending is weak and the awkward first-person camera grates. The major caveat is that it is atrociously buggy at launch, so wait for patches before buying.
Our analysis
A very fun game with enormous content and engaging mechanics like parkour and faction choices, though hampered by bugs, rough graphics, and clunky early-game progression. Recommended for players who enjoy Far Cry-style open-world activities.
Our analysis
40+ hours of engaging content with strong replay value.
Our analysis
Enjoyable zombie survival with excellent parkour, undermined by poorly executed narrative and inconsistent choice consequences.
Our analysis
Dying Light 2 offers a huge city of Villedor, great character progression and many moments of pure gaming joy, though the story feels disjointed and glitches, getting stuck and hard crashes need fixing; the gameplay still makes it generally recommended.
Our analysis
Dying Light 2 has awesome parkour and solid combat, but its story is lackluster and boring with a disappointing ending. Quests are below average to average and the dialogue is generic. Co-op literally breaks and feels unfinished, and the game falls short of the first.

WatchOur analysis
The creator found Dying Light 2 to be a mixed experience with fun exploration and level design, but significantly hindered by numerous bugs, poor stamina mechanics, and an unwanted light RPG system that ruined much of the enjoyment from the first game.

WatchOur analysis
A masterpiece that successfully evolves the original with expanded parkour action, compelling story, and engaging open-world gameplay, though the softened survival horror elements and removal of manual saving are notable drawbacks.
