Our analysis

A surprisingly deep space roguelike where each run feels fresh and purposeful, carried by fantastic, brutally challenging combat, flexible difficulty, and a rewarding permanent-perk progression that makes you feel stronger every run. A decent voiced story and side missions add reason to push on, while highly customizable control schemes shine once tweaked off the odd defaults. Blurry handheld visuals and an occasionally flat soundtrack are the main gripes, but it's a vast, rewarding package.
