Our analysis
An outstanding turn-based RPG and a strong contender for game of the year. The deep, branching story reacts heavily to your character choices, and the order-free hex combat is a joy thanks to flexible move-and-attack mechanics, environmental tactics like fire and oil, and meaty class trees across companions and centurions. The abstract legion battles feel underdeveloped and could use more depth, but with roughly 65 hours and high replayability it is definitely worth the buy.
