Our analysis

A Lovecraftian retro boomer-shooter with a striking comic-book art style blending 2D enemies into 3D spaces, which is its biggest strength alongside excellent, well-used music and creative enemy and weapon designs. The shooting feels fairly fast and fun with a satisfying madness mechanic, but it leans more action than scare, so the horror atmosphere lands as appreciable rather than frightening. Some abilities feel weak, and weapon aiming can be twitchy at high turn speeds.

Our analysis

A solid, enjoyable retro Boomer shooter with a Lovecraftian theme, mixing Quake, Duke Nukem and Hexen influences across two playable characters with skill trees and weapon customization. The standout Madness system warps perception while boosting damage, creating a tense risk-reward rhythm, and the audio and visuals hold up well on Switch. Held back by unbalanced skill trees, weak boss fights, small text in handheld, and the absence of gyro controls and multiplayer.
