Our analysis

Still the same bonkers, genre-parodying sandbox fun where you make your own entertainment, and it remains enjoyable, but this Switch port is undoubtedly the weakest version. While the 30fps frame rate holds up surprisingly well, it comes at the cost of severe pop-in, stripped-out NPCs and traffic, missing dynamic lighting, physics culling, broken quest-enabling objects, a tethered 50-meter split-screen leash, and buggy single-voice audio. Kids will still have fun, but the cuts undermine physics and elements intrinsic to the gameplay.

Our analysis

A more polished open-world comedy sequel that trades the original's deliberate jank for funny secrets, diverse areas, and absurd quests, with fluid movement and a creative equipment system that breaks physics in delightful ways. The world is rewarding to explore, though many quests have rigid single-solution designs that can leave you stuck. With 2-4 player co-op adding to the chaos, it makes for a worthwhile romp for fans of silly humor.
