Our analysis

Major update to GTA Trilogy two years after initial release with numerous improvements including classic lighting, fixed atmospheric effects, improved character models, and better animations. Visually much closer to original games now with better lighting balance. Still missing original soundtrack due to licensing issues.

Our analysis

A disaster. The machine-learning remaster gets the artistic direction wrong across all three games with problems, oversights, and a lack of care. Charging full price for this state is egregious.

Our analysis

Latest patch improvements make GTA Remastered Trilogy more playable with better frame pacing and draw distance, though still not worth full price on Switch.

Our analysis

Failed remaster that lazily repackages a dated game without fixing its fundamental flaws, betraying the original's legacy.
