GreedFall has excellent RPG progression, meaningful quest choices, superb voice acting and stunning visuals. However, repetitive content, weak characters, uneven combat and consequential bugs make it hard to recommend.

A decent but flawed RPG that touches on unusually mature themes through its faction-driven story, yet executes most RPG fundamentals poorly. Choices rarely carry meaningful consequences, the world is heavily reused with copy-pasted buildings, immersion is weak, and combat is shallow and broken with too few abilities and enemies that constantly reset position. It becomes more enjoyable once you adapt, but recycled assets, lackluster conversations and the price hold it back.

An ambitious and impressive effort for its small team that comes out of the gate strong with intriguing world-building, faction politics, and a flexible questing and RPG progression system, but falls apart over its lengthy runtime. Heavily copy-pasted environments, repetitive back-and-forth travel, awful facial animations, and combat that trivializes the hardest difficulty leave it feeling padded and inadequate for its price, landing around a 6 out of 10.

Greedfall is meticulously engineered tedium that sets up interesting premises but systematically fails to follow through on them. Despite a strong opening, the game devolves into glacial pacing, consequence-averse storytelling, shallow characters used as narrative tools, and mechanical systems that undercut rather than support meaningful choice.
