The campaign is genuinely fun and even unexpectedly funny, with athletic, physics-driven gunplay that rewards practice and encourages players to find a role like a team sport. Competitive multiplayer delivers coherent, intense firefights decided by accuracy, combos, and mind games rather than split-second deaths. The serious war-movie story clashes with the comedic chaos of the gameplay, creating a jarring tonal confusion, and it leans predictable.

A revisit after patches: multiplayer has improved markedly, with the old infinite-search and lobby problems largely fixed and matches now far more playable. Single-player and co-op remain a technical mess of stuttering, loading, and variable frame-rate issues, with lingering save-game troubles. A meaningful step up from its disastrous launch, but only a rental for now.
