Our analysis
A gorgeous PS4 showpiece with excellent graphics, sound, and atmospheric music, plus sublime, fluid controls that make traversal and combat genuinely fun. The superpowers all feel somewhat like carbon copies and the moral-choice system is shallow, while the writing and story are laughably bad. Even so, the sheer joy of unleashing destruction across a beautiful world makes it worth buying, barely, on gameplay and length alone.
