Our analysis

An extraordinary, unlike-anything experience that plays more like an art exhibition or theater production than a conventional game, framing American tragedy, debt, and the fantastic across distinct, beautifully staged scenes with a memorable two-toned synth-and-folk soundtrack. By traditional measures it is deliberately a boring game: it controls poorly, its spaces are awkward to navigate, dialogue choices barely matter, and the narrative is confused and unresolved. Yet it remains a singular, worthwhile work no one else has managed to replicate.

Our analysis

Episodic narrative experience; admirable but sleep-inducing without gameplay challenge.
