Our analysis

An ambitious open-world tactical RPG with a vast map, strong lore, and a clever system where mission choices shape your army's morale and troop types. It is undermined by ludicrously slow movement, unbalanced grind-gating combat, and poor performance that stutters badly in cities. Compelling in spite of its flaws, but best bought after patches or a sale.

Our analysis

A fantasy RPG that works far better as an open-world exploration game than as a tactics title. The turn-based combat is a low point, testing your wallet more than your strategy as units are lost permanently and must be repurchased, and the world is visually middling. Still, decent writing and voice work make it worth a leisurely playthrough for fantasy fans.
