King's Quest

Our analysis

A charming episodic adventure reimagining with breathtaking, hand-painted Lord of the Rings-style visuals, excellent voice work led by Christopher Lloyd, and slicker movement and logical, satisfying puzzles that improve on Telltale and Don't Nod offerings. Memorable characters and a generously large first episode sell it, though a few creepy character models and a safe, by-the-numbers story keep it from greatness. A solid buy.
