LEGO Marvel's Avengers

A confident buy and the most polished, gameplay-laden entry in the Lego series, blending roughly 200 Marvel heroes across the movies with surprisingly subtle lighting, excellent movie-sourced sound, and a deep, replayable roster whose team-up specials add real creativity. The open-world main cities feel drab and uninspired, and some lesser agent characters look samey and dull to play, while a few movie voiceovers come across washed out. Still, the core collect-and-smash loop and faithful story beats make it a genuine blast.
