A solid buy that plays like Doom or Quake with spells, delivering a robust, fast combat engine and a remarkably deep spell crafting, upgrading, and rune system that makes loadouts feel genuinely distinct. It looks fairly fantastic with excellent sound, music, and voice, and offers an interesting, lengthy story. Drawbacks include oddly spaced save points, a sometimes rage-inducing aim-locked archer AI, and a tiresome upgrade and loot grind, but the sheer depth and content carry it.
