A faithful remaster of the cult-classic hack-and-slash whose core combat and ludicrous humor still hold up, with refined controls, a fluid combo-and-shop progression loop, and a strong remastered soundtrack with new voice options. It is badly let down on Nintendo Switch, however, by an uncapped, stuttery frame rate, low-detail visuals, and crashes or soft locks, and the asking price feels steep for a roughly 5-7 hour beat-em-up.
