Medal of Honor

A competent but unremarkable modern-warfare shooter set in Afghanistan. Combat feels weighty and the heavily scripted encounters offer varied, interesting set pieces, while the short campaign avoids overstaying its welcome and multiplayer is well-designed and genuinely fun on a good server. It's undercut by clichéd, by-the-numbers storytelling, intrusive scripting that blocks movement and abilities, and a multiplayer package that does too little to distinguish itself from Call of Duty.
