A strong entry that, while lacking drastic changes, layers in subtle on-field refinements that reward skillful play, including a new perfect-tier swing and skill-based fielding indicators. The standout new Showdown mode is a high-stakes, easy-to-jump-into addition to Diamond Dynasty, and returning modes like March to October and Road to the Show remain excellent. The ability to buy stubs with real money is an annoyance, but streamlined progression makes it a comforting doorway for veterans and newcomers alike.
