Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight

Our analysis

A near-perfect little indie Metroidvania that channels Dark Souls and Castlevania, packed with bonfire-style checkpoints, hidden walls, mimics, and tough but fair boss fights. Combat is challenging throughout, yet deaths feel like the player's fault rather than the game's, and clever item synergies (like pairing poison arrows with poison-healing amulets) reward experimentation. An easy recommendation at its ten-dollar price.
