A frantic first-person bullet-hell roguelite whose standout hook is the modular gun crafting, which turns building absurdly oversized weapons into a satisfying spatial puzzle of connectors, barrels, and caps. The writing is sharp and the soundtrack is a highlight, and constant currency drops keep experimentation flowing. The big downside is visual clarity, as the bright projectiles blend into busy backgrounds and clutter the screen, making it hard to track threats during chaotic fights.
Our analysis
Mothergunship's retro-styled visuals, satisfying weapon effects, bug-free performance and Borderlands-style humor impress, but the roughly three-hour story ends abruptly, part limits undercut weapon crafting, and the bosses are unthreatening bullet sponges.
Our analysis
Fantastic bullet-hell FPS with great controls and weapon customization, limited only by RNG loot and pacing.
