One Piece Odyssey

A fun, accessible JRPG that leans on its excellent, charming cast and Dragon Quest-style turn-based combat with a clever interconnected-battle and bonus-objective system. The memory-revisiting story feels predictable and doesn't grip, and there's little challenge, but the Switch port runs well at a solid 30fps. Enjoyable for fans and newcomers, though priced a touch high for what it offers.

A solid traditional turn-based RPG that brings the Straw Hats to a new island with a fun combat system built around positional play and a rock-paper-scissors type matchup mechanic. Exploring familiar One Piece locations and signature character abilities outside combat are highlights, though frequent cut-scenes and forced backtracking can hurt the pacing, and the side activities are competent but unremarkable. It rewards longtime fans heavily but offers little to pull in newcomers.
