Our analysis

A cheap Steam early-access gem and an easy buy at five dollars. The 2D action is pure, addictive fun with an excellent, instantly switchable weapon and combo system, top-notch animation, strong cosmic lighting and fire effects, and phenomenal driving music. It is punishingly hard with no save option yet, the frame rate dips when effects flood the screen, and a bug stops the music on death, but the difficulty-and-reward balance is superb.
