Outriders excels with exceptional loot, crafting, and item customization systems. However the endgame is crippled by atrocious balancing that funnels all viable builds into damage-focused archetypes. Always-online DRM and server instability make it only worth a Game Pass play.

Really fun gameplay and perfect for Game Pass but wait-for-sale for full purchase. Strong RPG looter-shooter co-op focus without live service or monetization traps. Post-launch support remains to be seen, with May competition (Returnal, Resident Evil Village, Biomutant) potentially overshadowing it. A good test bed for Game Pass day-one releases.
