Our analysis

A directionally confused free-to-play sequel that squanders its potential, with persistently poor performance, faction identities ruined by camouflage and near-identical cash-shop weapons, and a class system undermined by overpowered Heavy Assault and implants. Its biggest failing is a messy territory and objective system that, combined with Redeploy and easy defending, produces endless stalemate fights, abandoning the supply-line depth of the original. It still shines as a coordinated group experience but is hard to recommend in its current state.

Our analysis

A genuinely impressive large-scale MMO FPS that delivers massive, chaotic battles unlike anything else, especially with a coordinated outfit. It's hampered by a near-total lack of story or tutorial, a brutal certification-point grind, questionable price gouging on cosmetics and weapons, and frequent bugs and crashes. Free-to-play makes it well worth experiencing despite needing more polish and variety.
