Risk of Rain Returns

Our analysis

An excellent, highly addictive roguelike remaster of the original that fans and newcomers alike should pick up, with new survivors, improved multiplayer, and extensive difficulty and mechanic tweaking options. Skill and decision-making matter more than RNG, and the rising on-stage difficulty meter creates real tension around looting versus rushing the teleporter. The remastered HD pixel-art visuals run at a flawless 60fps on Switch, backed by a standout soundtrack, making it strong value.
