Our analysis

The king of theme park management sims, bundling the first two games plus their expansions with modern quality-of-life touches and a generous 95 scenarios. The Switch port's cursor-driven controls are surprisingly comfortable and intuitive, arguably bettering mouse-and-keyboard for building custom coasters, though it disappointingly drops the scenario editor and touch controls and suffers sharp frame-rate dips when zoomed out. It retains its crown as the genre's best.

Our analysis

A merging of the first two RollerCoaster Tycoon games whose timeless, compelling park-management core holds up incredibly well, packed with nearly 100 scenarios, expansions, and a freeform coaster builder that delivers huge value. The charming retro isometric pixel art is a perfect fit for the genre. Its weakest aspect is the cumbersome console control scheme, made worse by the baffling omission of touchscreen support, alongside some performance chugging when fully zoomed out.
