One of the most refreshing and enjoyable RPGs in years, this full remake showcases brilliant Saga-series mechanics: weapon-proficiency growth, the glimmer system, tense life points, and a clever lineage-of-successors system woven into both story and gameplay. The bombastic remixed soundtrack and strong voice acting shine, with a slightly washed-out look, frequent loading hitches, a crash, and a few un-modernized conveniences as the only real drawbacks. Highly recommended for RPG fans.
An excellent turn-based JRPG with engaging mechanics, beautiful pixel art, and compelling multi-generational storytelling that stands out for its unique combat system and kingdom-building elements.
