A pleasant surprise that holds up exceptionally well almost two decades on, running nearly flawlessly with strong level design, atmospheric audio, and genre-leading open-world RPG-shooter gameplay where player choices carry real, lasting consequences. The standout freedom and immersion remain excellent; the main drawback is gyro aiming not working properly in docked mode, a flaw the developers intend to patch.
