Skydance's Behemoth

Our analysis

A fun but uneven VR action game whose fantastic, weighty melee combat and virtual archery deliver a satisfying power fantasy, backed by impressive visuals and epic towering boss encounters. It is dragged down by some of the worst checkpointing in recent memory, plus repetitive environments, copy-paste enemies, predictable puzzles, and intrusive comfort vignettes. The removal of its crafting and survival systems leaves it feeling arcadey and simplified rather than the AAA experience it aimed for.

Our analysis

Behemoth offers visually impressive encounters with the giant behemoths and strong sound design, but is ultimately disappointing due to clunky and unfun combat mechanics, a cumbersome inventory system, and numerous technical bugs that needed more polish before launch.
