Our analysis

A respectful, fan-oriented bundle of 13 retro SNK titles with strong quality-of-life tools — togglable arcade/console and regional versions, an unlimited rewind, a watch/take-over mechanic, and a museum with history and soundtrack. Many games have aged rough and offer little replayability, the action-RPG Crystalis is the clear standout, and the single save-state slot per game is a frustrating limitation. Best suited to nostalgic SNK fans rather than newcomers.

Our analysis

A solid celebration of SNK's golden age, bundling roughly 20 arcade and NES games (including the Ikari trilogy, Crystalis, and Prehistoric Isle) spanning 1981-1989. Quality-of-life additions like save states, rewind, regional versions, local multiplayer, and a museum mode add value, and most titles have aged well. The lineup leans on a small pool of genres and repeats arcade/console versions of the same game, and the price runs a bit high, though a free update of extra arcade games sweetens the deal.
