Our analysis

A worthwhile standalone expansion offering a fully voiced 20-hour campaign that blends dungeon-crawling RPG play with built-in RTS battles. The two new factions, especially the soul-harvesting Dark Elves, plus fresh Druid and Warden skill trees and flexible mix-and-match character builds, add real depth and fun. At around £20 it is fair value, though performance is slightly worse than SpellForce 3 and it could have added more. Recommended for fans of the original.
