Being free and packed with recognizable Star Wars personalities is its appeal. It's rough around the edges with shaky hit detection, monetization that feels like a cash grab, and weak matchmaking that pits players against bots and barely-better humans.

Star Wars: Hunters offers enjoyable squad-based shooting and strong customizable controls, including gyro aiming. Slow unlocks, an intrusive storefront and missing voice chat detract, but it is still worth trying.
